Lead Pattern-maker (Maternity cover)

BCC is looking for a maternity cover to join the ROTATE team. 

Within the Fitting team, reporting to the Chief Sustainability officer, our Lead Pattern Maker is in charge of ensuring the successful development of a collection from first sketch to production handover, in close partnership with our design, fitting and production teams, and with our suppliers.

We are looking for an experienced profile with the ambition to change fashion for good, and experience in working in fast-paced international companies. This is a full-time position to be operated from our HQ in central Copenhagen, from September 2024 to June 2025.

Primary tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead the quality level of the brand by building best practices, and by engaging with all teams (sales, design, sourcing and production) to integrate feedback and secure brand consistency and quality.
  • Lead the team expertise, build  and maintain existing guidelines, train and support your colleagues when in need of guidance. Optimize and maintain the brand´s workflow to respect our calendars.
  • Set up collections from handover, by advising and challenging qualities and designs, by creating/updating/maintaining patterns & pattern library, creating a CLO pattern, or by supplying suppliers with measurements charts and descriptions.
  • Book models and Fit samples on models and mannequins, to identify and solve challenges and ensure a consistent fit across garments and sizes.
  • Create and ensure good and consistent communication flow with Suppliers on all sampling, and control requests are followed throughout sampling and production period. Visit and train them when needed.
  • Be an active solution provider through your attitude and expert knowledge of patternmaking and manufacturing solutions, in time-pressured context.

Experience & Skills  

  • 5+ years of experience as a fitting technician and/or pattern-maker in womenswear
  • Technical knowledge of garment manufacturing and construction.
  • Pattern making education and skills: Gerber Accumark proficiency is required, Delogue and CLO are a plus.
  • Detail orientated
  • Capacity to structure your own work and your coworkers´ work across several collections being developed simultaneously
  • Strong Communication skills in diverse and multicultural context
  • Positive & solution-oriented mindset
