Stine Goya is currently recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Product Development & Production Director to lead and inspire our collections development.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the product development, production, sourcing, pattern and technical team as well as the end to end collection planning and merchandising. Spearheading the department with a keen passion for craftsmanship product elevation and knowledge of multiple product categories.

With strong organizational skills, in-depth technical knowledge and an established supplier network, you will lead seasonal critical paths, whilst refining and implementing initiatives in alignment with the company’s ESG goals.

Collaborating with the Creative Director and design team to ensure the creative vision you will report to the CEO to achieve optimum product management, line planning and new product initiations across the collection. This is an incredibly exciting role with significant room for innovation and personal growth.

Product Development & Sourcing Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of four collections per year + ad hoc special projects and ensuring optimized calendars and key activations, range plans, budgets and suppliers landscape are created according to product and sourcing strategy
• Manage the product development and production budget, including product costs and gross margin level
• Lead all sourcing activities and ensure we always remain up to date on new technologies, treatments and best practices
• Monitor on-time delivery of proto and sales samples to Stine Goya standard
• Ongoing assessments of existing suppliers base and sourcing of new suppliers and close contact with fabric and yarn mills, and trim suppliers

Merchandising and Planning

• Collaborate with the Creative Director and design team to achieve optimum product management & line planning and seasonal cadence of new product launches
• Submit seasonal data and reports while contributing to the range build / merchandising.
• Lead and monitor the optimization of range plan, collection balance and target margins of all categories and collections.
• Develop and monitor the company’s targets for responsibility overlooking the company’s fiber matrix system and acting as the responsible party for all targets.

Production, Quality & Operational Responsibilities

• Oversee the production process, ensuring on-time delivery, compliance with up-to-date ESG and quality standards and targets.
• Manage Stine Goya’s product integrity and order specification compliance (including fitting, washing, treatments and general workmanship).
• Manage the costing process and analysis of margins per product category and decide on negotiation strategies going to suppliers
• Negotiate prices with manufacturers in relation to expected volumes
• Quality control at suppliers and company’s warehouses making sure products are adhering to Stine Goya standards.
• Lead suppliers and partners to meet the company’s Code of Conduct, Supplier Manual, chemical requirements and ensuring the audit of factories on a yearly basis

Key competencies 

• Management experience and comfortable leading a team within sourcing, pattern making and production
• Budgeting and strategic management and experience working with responsibility strategies and implementation
• Analytical mindset and confident in merchandising
• Established supplier network across all tiers and product categories, within both Europe and Asia
• Acute technical knowledge of fabrics, yarns and trims and strong understanding of garment construction
• High sense of quality, workmanship and attention to detail
• Keen problem solver with a proactive attitude
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
