Are you an experienced and creative designer with the ability to convert fast-moving trends into sustainable fashion with the goal of developing SELECTED HOMME’s brand together with a dedicated Design team?
Then you might be the one we are looking for to join the SELECTED HOMME Design team.
The position and work environment
You will take part in the entire design process from concept stage through to the finished product – always with our brand DNA in mind. We are young at team that is young at heart with dynamic and informal work environment. We collaborate closely and share a passion for the products we produce. We continuously strive to make the next collection more sustainable than the last, always seeking inspiration and innovative ways to make fashionable ‘value for money’ products with more sustainable fibres.
You will be working on HOMME, covering different lines/categories within NOOS, volume products, accessories, Express, etc.
Your responsibilities will among others include:
- Creation of new collections, trend presentations and design sketches
- Research and awareness of new trends and fabrics
- Travelling for inspiration and to visit suppliers
- Developing styles in cooperation with the design and buying team
- Commenting on samples in close dialogue with buyers and manufacturers
- Cooperating with the Sales department on research, feedback and customer expectations
- Developing and creating graphic artwork for prints.
You have a natural ability to spot trends and turn them into stylish, commercial designs. With a passion for graphic artwork, prints and fast fashion, you create great styles with high value for money.
Taking initiative and working independently comes naturally to you, and you have an ambitious mindset and a creative and commercial sense. You are a strong team player with the ability to adapt your way of working, enabling you to collaborate efficiently across lines/categories as well as departments.
You have a confident can-do attitude combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You thrive in a creative and fast-moving environment, where you pay attention to detail and manage to keep an overview, enabling you to make swift yet well-considered decisions and actions.
- Degree in design
- Extensive working experience with design, ideally within menswear
- Strong drawing-skills
- Flair for design, colours, details, patterns and texture is essential
- Passion for and experience in creating and developing graphic artwork is highly appreciated, but not a requirement
- Superuser in Adobe and Illustrator
- Fluent in English, both in speech and writing.
