International Sales Manager

International Sales Manager with passion for sales expansion and shopper experiences

We are a strong international team of 40+ employees with headquarters in our CO2 neutral office in Gentofte (Greater Copenhagen), Denmark and local offices or showrooms in Munich, Oslo and London.

Job description

As Wheat new International Sales Manager, you will be on the driving seat of a formidable journey that will allow you to influence Wheat global expansion whilst keeping a strong base in our domestic market. During this international growth journey, you will lead the commercial relationship with Wheat’s network of agents & distributors and expand the brand footprint in select direct export markets. This is already a successful business area with exciting growth potential.

This will also take you to manage our consignment customers in Denmark, building up best practices which you will lift to an international dimension (first within the Nordics and further away in Europe) and new retail formats.

You will work in tandem with the Chief Sales Officer (to whom you will report directly to) and be supported by a strong Sales Administrator, and other supporting colleagues.  As such, you are a self-driven individual, autonomous yet a strong team player.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver the sales and profit targets
  • Prepare sales budgets for each of the collection sell-in.
  • Build joint sales and marketing plan with Distributors
  • Work with agents and distributors on sales tactics and other activations with the support of the marketing team to drive distribution footprint, brand visibility and sell-through
  • Support Agents with the management of Key Accounts
  • Train retail staff, agents and distributors
  • Ensure branding compliance (retail location and showroom) with the support of VM and marketing.
  • Create with the marketing & VM team and other sales colleagues merchandising guidelines and continuously improve
  • Guide the operations team to ensure compliance with the export procedure (labelling, certificate and other export documentation)
  • Analyze sales performance of consignment customers and initiate relevant actions
  • Monitor stock level and secure consignment locations are adequately replenished for the various sales campaign whilst securing the lowest inventory at the end of each season
  • Be the link between business partners and the design team on product development opportunities
  • Participation at trade fairs

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role or related within premium lifestyle, fashion, or consumer goods brands
  • Proven sales track record
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in sales and key account management in a fast-growing business
  • Excellent relationship skills and outspoken – natural team player
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office and in particular Excel.
  • Data driven – you can work with data and quickly process for actions
  • Digital and SoMe savvy
  • Keen eye for VM
  • Open to multicultural business environment and international travels
