Pattern Maker
We’re looking for a skilled Pattern Maker to join our expanding team in Copenhagen. A creative and challenging position in a fast-paced environment.
Les Deux is built on three pillars: Entrepreneurship, Community, and Legacy.
We stay hungry: many dream of success, only a few go and make it happen.
We stay together: we’ve only got to where we are because of our people.
We stay humble: we give back through charitable projects.
Our ambitions are big, and with our talented and passionate team we know we can make them a reality. Join us.
How We Work
The work we do is underpinned by the principle of calculated creativity: Excel and Illustrator are our best friends. Collections start in our imagination, then we crunch the numbers to make sure brand and business are moving in the same direction.
You shouldn’t be afraid of speaking up and challenging the status quo of how we work and what we produce, but you should also appreciate that you’re working as part of a team.
We’re a down-the-pub-for-a-pint brand, not a Devil-Wears-Prada brand. Be humble, be hungry.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll play a holistic role in the design & production process, working closely with your new colleagues to bring our designs to life. You’ll also:
- Develop accurate measurement charts for woven categories.
- Work closely with our design and production teams to support visual and functional garment design goals. This includes tasks such as fitting, sizing, creating silhouettes, grading, and providing technical garment-making solutions.
- Regularly follow up, evaluate, and update fits, silhouettes, and technical solutions to ensure quality and precision.
- Take precise measurements of samples to maintain high standards.
- Create detailed drawings to guide the production process and provide proactive and focused input to ensure smooth production processes.
- Effectively communicate with suppliers to clarify issues and optimize garments throughout the product development phase.
- Undertake various tasks related to the development of collections, such as creating fit guides for our Sales team.
- Be open to possibly implement a Cad cam system, to use in collection development for parts of the collection, to ensure fit consistency.
What You Bring to the Table:
It’s important to us that you are passionate about fashion and can identify with our style & DNA, and you also need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while hitting deadlines & never compromising on quality.
We’d love it if you have at least three years of experience in a similar position, giving you a good understanding of the different duties that fall on a busy production department.
We’re looking for someone who:
- holds a relevant degree or background as a pattern maker/pattern technician
- has a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience, preferably within menswear
- Skilled user of Illustrator and Microsoft Office
- Experience with PLM systems such as Delogue is an advantage. Experience with cad cam systems like Gerber is a bonus.
- Thrives as an enthusiastic team player and as an individual contributor
- Has a structured and flexible mindset, as we work with multiple collections and collabs at the same time
- Fluent in English both verbally and in writing, both for internal communication and external communications with our suppliers during product development.
If there are a couple of things from this list that you feel you’re missing, please apply anyway. A passion for learning and a great personality is just as important to us.
What We Bring to the Table:
Our culture is one of the key reasons that we’ve grown from two people with a side project to an international brand with a team of 100, so keeping a friendly, vibrant, and down-to-earth atmosphere is really important for us.
We also offer:
- Six weeks of vacation each year
- Company lunch scheme
- Gym & basketball court at the office
- Free workout sessions on Tuesdays with a personal trainer
- Friday bars and regular company socials
- Unbeatable staff-only prices on our clothes and accessories (seriously, you might never need to pay full price on clothes ever again)
- Free fruit, snacks, and most importantly, coffee (our coffee guy recently called our machine “The Ferrari of coffee machines”)
How to apply:
If the above sounds just like you and you think you’d fit right in, we’d love to hear from you.
We believe that difference makes us stronger, and encourage everyone to apply regardless of age, ethnicity, ability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, nationality, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
Send your CV and a short Cover Letter explaining why you’d be a great fit to career@lesdeux.com. Please use the subject line: Pattern Maker Vacancy. We’ll be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis, snoozing = losing!
