Om Maria Black
We are a fast growing jewellery company based in Nyhavn Copenhagen, with a team of 30 colleagues who believe that together we can have a positive impact on our industry by challenging the status quo and push the limits for what a conceptual jewellery company can strive for. This applies to everything from our extensive CSR strategy, which we launch in the fall of 2021, to our approach to design and production. We design and produce jewellery in sterling silver and 14K gold within the fashion sector with annual drops 4 times a year. We are a bunch of passionate colleagues that believe we should look after each other and have fun while working. Operating in an ethical and responsible way across all platforms is essential to us and we work actively to be inclusive, kind & honest. This attitude translates into how we work with our overseas manufacturers. To us (and you) co-operation, respect, honesty and knowledge sharing is the key to a successful partnership with our manufacturers. We look forward to meeting you and nerd out together, as we truely have a passion and drive when it comes to jewellery making.
You will know every piece of jewellery by heart (and neatly filed) in terms of quality, product history, production origin, specs, compliance and sales performances. You will be able to have a say on the technical aspects of new product developments, but your key tasks and responsibilities start once the collections are finished as you monitor the product life cycle of each piece . You will work hands-on when it comes to running orders and testing current products, but you will also work strategic together with our design team, fulfillment, customer service and COO as you are the go to person for our jewellery production knowledge & planning.
Our ideal candidate will have in-depth technical knowledge in jewellery making and production knowledge with overseas suppliers. Your technical knowledge allows you to guide our manufacturers towards solutions that ensure our quality standards. We test new designs and techniques constantly so you need to be able to think out of the box and find a joy in experimenting. You have a keen eye for details and you are a natural when it comes to keeping organised, this is essential as you will be managing and planning your own workload while keeping focused, prioritise and make quick and decisive desicions in collaboration with your colleagues.
You have worked several years in the jewellery industry with production, possibly with a degree in jewellery making. You also need to have experience with documenting and developing work processes and an overall knowledge of the inner workings of the jewellery industry.
Since a lot of your work will be centered around strategy, compliance, reporting and analyzing it’s important that you have experience in reporting tools such as excel. Any experience with building and maintaining PIM systems as well as leadership experience would be preferred.
