Then you might be the one we are looking for to join the Selected Femme Design Team focussing on the outerwear category.

The position and work environment

With our brand DNA for Selected Femme in mind, you will take part in the entire design process from concept stage through to the finished product. The work environment is dynamic and informal, and you will work closely with colleagues that are all passionate about the products they produce.

We continuously work to make the next collection more sustainable than the last, and we constantly seek inspiration and innovative ways to make fashionable ‘value for money’ products, with more sustainable fibers.

In collaboration with buyers and suppliers you will be working with developing and choosing new yarns and fabrics, consistently working on newness, and improving our products.

Your responsibilities will among others include:

• Creation of new collections, trend presentations and design sketches with a focus on outerwear
• Researching colour compositions, new trends and fabrics
• Travelling for inspiration and to visit suppliers
• Developing and drawing styles
• Commenting on samples in close dialogue with our buyers and pattern designers
• Cooperating with the Sales department on research, feedback and customer expectations.

Your profile

Taking initiative and working independently comes natural to you, and you have an ambitious mindset and a creative and commercial sense. You have a confident can-do attitude, and you are a strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You have a natural ability to spot trends and turn them into stylish, commercial designs. You pay attention to detail and manage to keep an overview in a creative and fast-moving process.

In addition, you have:

• A degree in design
• Experience with design work, ideally within womenswear outerwear
• Strong drawing-skills
• Flair for design, colours, details, patterns and texture is essential
• Super user in Adobe and Illustrator
• Fluent in English, both in speech and writing
• Knowledge within patternmaking and MMC is appreciated.
