Buyer for our production department! 

Munthe is growing significantly, with five yearly collections, including a NOS program, and a large market potential both nationally and internationally. As part of this growth, Munthe is looking for a dynamic and dedicated buyer for our production department. You will be part of Munthe's production team and will report directly to the Production Manager.

Job description & responsibilities

As a buyer at Munthe, you will take part in the entire process from sourcing to fitting, and you will follow the product until it reaches the warehouse.

You will have a close collaboration with the design team and our patternmaker. Together with our Production Manager, you will handle all communication with our suppliers.

It is important that you can manage multiple tasks and keep track of all styles in a busy environment.

• Source fabrics and trims.
• Send set-ups to suppliers.
• Attend all fitting sessions.
• Communicate fitting corrections to our suppliers.
• Keep track of proto samples, salesman samples, pre-production samples, and shipment samples.
• Negotiate prices, MOQs, and lead-times. Manage the costing process and analyze margins for all your products.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks in the production department.

Skills & qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in sourcing and fitting in a similar role.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in InDesign & Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work tasks.
• A team player who contributes to maintaining MUNTHE’s positive working environment.
• High sense of quality, workmanship and attention to details.
• Experience with all product types, including heavy woven, light woven, knit, jersey, and accessories.
